Oluwatosin Ajibade, more commonly referred to as Mr. Eazi, is an accomplished entrepreneur and artist hailing from Nigeria. His date of birth is July 19, 1991.

He defines banku music as a fusion of Nigerian chord patterns and Ghanaian highlife, of which he is a pioneer.

Mr. Eazi undertook a relocation from Nigeria to Kumasi, a municipality in Ghana, in the year 2008.

He was responsible for recruiting young, brilliant performers for campus gatherings while he was still at KNUST.

He admitted that his fascination with music originated with the recording of a guest verse for the KNUST hit “My Life,” which received numerous positive reviews.

The young Nigerian artist subsequently published his debut mixtape, titled About To Blow, in 2013.

Upon the release of his popular single “Skin Tight” during his contract with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment, he garnered his initial international following.

Early Life and Music Career

The state of Rivers contains the largest metropolis in Nigeria, Port Harcourt, which also happens to be the birthplace of Mr. Eazi.

The gifted young Nigerian originates from an entrepreneurial lineage; his father, an ex-pilot who established an individual consulting enterprise, and his mother managed a modest company. Prior to his enrollment at Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Accra, Ghana, Mr. Eazi fulfilled the requirements of Lagos State, Nigeria, for his primary and secondary education.

While attending KNUST, Mr. Eazi started composing music. His guest vocals appeared frequently, and one of the resulting compositions, My Life, gained significant traction among the student body.

Mr. Eazi also established Swagger Entertainment, a party booking and music promotion company, while attending KNUST.

By means of the Swagger Entertainment platform, Mr. Eazi organized artist performances and disseminated information regarding music events and current trends occurring on the KNUST campus.

He returned to Nigeria at the age of 23, where he proceeded to establish an electronic commerce website.

Mr. Eazi resigned from his position as a party and event promoter in 2014 subsequent to a significant performance at a party where one of the performers failed to show up.

As per Quaye’s assertion, the reason for Mr. Eazi’s non-selection was his nationality. Additionally, according to Quaye, Mr. Eazi was only qualified to compete in the African Artiste of the Year category; however, the show managers declined his entry because they deemed him to be less prominent than the other entrants in that category. This occurred in 2016 during the Ghana Music Awards.

On January 11, 2017, at Mr. Eazi’s assertion that Nigerian music was profoundly influenced by Ghanaian music, Nigerians reacted vehemently.

At 12:01 in 2017. Mr. Eazi conveyed remorse to his compatriots in Nigeria regarding his remark.

The signing of Mr. Eazi to Starboy Entertainment, Wizkid’s record label, was announced subsequent to the artist’s appearance at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.

Nevertheless, Mr. Eazi subsequently acknowledged that his affiliation with the Starboy label was purely contractual in nature and not a formal agreement.
