Uzee Usman Adeyemi is a native of Kwara State and was born in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
Before continuing his studies on special effects in South Africa, he graduated from the Universities of Abuja and Jos with two degrees in political science and English language.
Career
Dr. Uzee Usman began his career in 2013 as a filmmaker, having begun his career in 2003 as a makeup artist.
Subsequently, he has produced Kannywood and Nollywood films that have received accolades, including Oga Abuja, which was named the Best Hausa Movie of the Year at the 2013 City People Entertainment Awards.
His film Maja was nominated for the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards’ Best Picture category and won the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards’ Best Film of the Year (Kannywood) award.
In 2021, he was bestowed with an Honorary Doctorate by Iheris University Togo.
