Who is Theresa Edem?
Theresa Edem Isemin was born into an Ibibio tribe family in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria, on January 6, 1986. She also works as a model, actress, voice-over artist, and filmmaker. Tessy, as she is commonly referred to, is an emerging celebrity within the Nigerian entertainment sector.
Early Years
Tessy, the only female among four children, is the last. She completed her primary and secondary education in Akwa Ibom prior to enrolling in The Federal University of Technology Owerri, located in the state of Imo, from which she earned a Bachelor of Technology in Animal Science and Technology.
Theresa Edem Career
Theresa has experienced tremendous career growth since she began her professional acting career in 2012. In the production “After The Proposal” at the Royal Arts Academy, she made her debut in a significant role.
She subsequently appeared in a number of stage productions, television films, and radio dramas, including MTV’s Shuga Radio. She received her breakthrough role as “Angela Dede” on M-Net Tinsel in 2014.
Theresa has portrayed a number of significant roles in films and television series since her success on Hollywood Boulevard, with “Princess Ama” in Ayamma, “Isioma” on Hotel Majestic, and “Rita” in This Thing Called Marriage being the most notable.
Furthermore, she has appeared alongside Deyemi Okanlawon and Chris Attoh in While We Worked Things Out, an Africa Magic Original Film (AMOF), and in Bakers Daughter.
