Jumoke George is a filmmaker, producer, and actress from Nigeria. George Olajumoke Amoke Olatunde is her complete given name. She has over four decades of experience as an actress and has appeared in numerous Yoruba and English-language Nollywood films.
Childhood and education
The date of Jumoke George’s birth is February 18. Her upbringing was marked by rigorous discipline, as both her military-serving father and stepmother were registered nurses.
She attended Army Children School Kano, Command Children School Ann’s Barracks Yaba, Lagos, and Anglican Grammar School, Orita mefa, Ibadan before transferring to Government Technical College, Osogbo to major in business administration.

Subsequently, while she was still in secondary school, her father disowned her and evicted her from the home due to complications with her stepmother. Due to her mother’s inability to embrace her, she began to engage in squatting with her peers.
Career
A friend of Jumoke George’s father introduced her to acting when she was eight years old. Ibadan’s National Television Authority (NTA) featured her in a stage production.
A gentleman known as ‘Water Aqua’ facilitated her enrollment in a drama troupe at NTA Ibadan. Subsequently, she encountered Comrade Victor Ashaolu, her superior, who introduced her to the Yoruba film industry.
Comrade Victor served as her tutor for approximately eleven years. Towards the end of her career, she remained off-screen without invitation from film directors and producers for approximately fourteen years due to her stringent attitude toward men in the industry.
During his mandatory hiatus from the film industry, Jumoke opted to join the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN). Five live programs she anchored kept her extremely occupied and prevented her from acting.
